Commitment and Dedication

Last week, several of our teachers were recognized by the Board of Education for attaining tenure! Tenure can mean different things to different people. To us, tenure means that these teachers made a commitment to serving the students at Dryden the past four years. We are very thankful for their commitment and dedication to Dryden, and we appreciate the special relationship our students and staff are able to have with them over the years.

Congratulations to Miss Wilson, Mrs. Hernandez, Mr. Sobota and Mrs. Pemberton!

Congratulations to Mr. Poliszczuk on attaining tenure, too!

The mentors of our newly tenured teachers came to celebrate them at the Board meeting, too! This says much about the caring relationships our teachers have with one another and the ongoing commitment and dedication our mentors have maintained towards their proteges well beyond our newly tenured teachers' first year of teaching.

One of our students was also recognized at the Board meeting for his commitment and dedication to keyboarding practice over the summer. Congratulations to Evan for having the highest number of keyboarding practice minutes from Dryden!

The wonderful commitment and dedication of our staff rubs off on our students in so many positive ways. I was so impressed by the commitment and perseverance of these two students as they worked together to put numbers in order on a number line. Their friendly, enthusiastic cooperation and communication with one another as they worked together made me stop, watch and smile! Their work together is so reflective of all of our work together at Dryden!!
