Creative Collaborations

Many thanks to our PTA, LMC Director Mrs. O'Kelly and all of our teachers who creatively collaborated to make Family Reading Night a big success! We had a great turn-out. It was wonderful to see so many families come to school dressed in their pajamas, ready to snuggle up and listen to their teachers reading their favorite books!

There was a fun bookmark-making station where students could make pom-pon bookmarks out of yarn.

Art Teacher Mrs. Fuglestad had a fun art activity to go with the book "Ish" by Peter Reynolds, and LMC Teacher Assistant Mrs. Kenney led a fun trivia game using Kahoot.

Family Reading Night concluded with a bedtime snack and a fun interactive read aloud by Mrs. O'Kelly, Mrs. Beane, Mrs. Sessler and some students on the stage. We hope this experience deepened our students love of reading!

Second grade students have been collaborating to create models of landforms. It was impressive to hear their explanations about how landforms are developed through erosion, volcanoes and other natural causes.

Fourth grade students have been collaborating to create their own robot designs. As they design their robots, they are applying math skills to find the surface area. Way to go!

In music, fifth grade students collaborated to compose songs on the keyboard. This was a great way for them to express their creativity while applying their understanding of music concepts and keyboarding skills!

Another creative collaboration we look forward to at Dryden is our Friday Party Jam videos. We enjoy celebrating all the special things happening at Dryden this way. You can see the recent edition here. It was so much fun to be a part of this!
